PBEC holds a closed-door briefing every two months with its board and members by strict invitation only. Not everyone can attend the meetings and this one was our first hybrid-held meeting since all covid restrictions were lifted in February by the HK Government, so there were still many attending via online means.
The subject areas we cover are typically broad and wide-reaching, but mainly on trade-related, geopolitical and economic matters of interest. A strong focus in this meeting is on Hong Kong’s economic recovery with commentary from our Vice Chairman Dr. George LAM BBS JP and Chair of this meeting in the absence of Chairman Andrew Weir, as well as supportive business leaders such as Sebastian Man, Anna Lin, Ben Simpfendorfer, Thomas Wong, Deborah Biber, Miguel Aboitiz, Anson Bailey and David Armitage.
PBEC as a non-profit business association main focus is on connecting regional business leaders with each other and representing those same businesses at regional forums such as APEC/PECC and ASEAN providing event opportunities to network and meet Government officials and other leaders of industry and academia in Asia Pacific. PBEC advocating for sustainable and responsible economic development, promoting free trade for good. We always welcome comments and feedback.
