PBEC Appoints Anthony Chan as Vice Chair
The Pacific Basin Economic Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Chan as Vice Chair, effective from the November 2025 Annual General Meeting.
Anthony is Chief Executive Officer of Isola Capital and brings extensive experience in asset management across private equity, venture capital, private credit and liquid secondary strategies. His career spans investment banking, private investments and family office wealth management, with broad investment expertise across consumer, agricultural, industrial and technology sectors.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from The University of Sydney. He is a graduate of The College of Law (Sydney) and was admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW. He completed the Financial Engineering Program at Stanford University and attended the Stanford Executive Institute. Anthony is licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission as a Responsible Officer for Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 activities.
His leadership extends across Hong Kong’s business community. Anthony serves as Co-Chair of Cyberport Investors Network Growth Portfolio Sub-Committee, member of the HK Trade Development Council Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee, member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Taxation Committee and YEC Executive Committee, Chair of the HKVCA Wine Committee, and member of the HKVCA Limited Partners Committee and Family Office Committee. He is also appointed to the Market Misconduct Tribunal.
Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Anthony brings multilingual capabilities and cross-border expertise that align with PBEC’s regional mission. His appointment strengthens the Board’s leadership as PBEC celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026 and advances strategic priorities including engagement during China’s APEC chairmanship and advocacy for regional economic integration.
