Leonhard Weese Co-Founder The Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong join PBEC

Weese is a co-founder & former President of the Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong and a key figure in the city’s crypto community. He is young, super smart, well respected by his peers & a savvy entrepreneur who is passionate about the safe development of digital cryptocurrencies and how they have the potential to provide huge benefits to society. He advocates for a fair based rules regulatory environment that encourages the further development of the sector for the benefit of developer, providers and consumers. He specializes in crypto security, risk management, information security and online privacy. He got into Bitcoin during his studies of economics and statistics in Vienna and Hong Kong. He launched the most popular Blockchain/Fintech meetup in Hong Kong for the past 6 years before handing over the reigns of the non-profit last October 2019 to newly elected leadership. During his tenure and as co-founder it has accumulating over 4,000 members and hosting 200+ events. The platform shares the latest market insights, information and connections, bringing the best of the Bitcoin & Crypto ecosystem has to offer together and inviting the world to engage with Hong Kong as a major IFC. We co-host the Bitcoin Round Table event annually.  He is excited to join PBEC and looks forward to advancing the digital currency space further together.
